SABAH...land below the wind...

just came back from a hectic 10-day tour of sabah, interviewing local hopefuls for a place in aswara. we did a 'kl-tawau-kk-keningau-kk-labuan' trotting...some of them are quite good. btw i didin't follow the team to keningau. i instead went to sandakan and met with some of the people who are going to be involved with my research on "Kesenian Orang Sungai" (with the focus on the making of 'Gabbang Kayu')...the food was nice though...saw some funny signage

the view of the peaks of kinabalu was amazing. during the transit from sandakan, we met the pilot of the aircraft and guess what? he was from my home town and apalagi...i was invited to the cockpit during flight...eventhough it was a bit...very cramped but it was a feeling of a lifetime (wanted to be a pilot but my eyesight...alasan tak score masa sekolah)

Lovely. I miss the state. So, you are enjoying yourself in my hometown huh.
Oh I like the 'jangan melekat' sign. But that hotel name is a bit obscene lah. I wouldnt stay there. I'm sure you had a lot of fun there.
