down and out

Palm size pic of the rashes around the body

Had one of the scariest experiences last week. on the 12th of june, after falling sick since tuesday (10th june), I was admitted at Hospital Ampang for dengue.  The blood count dropped from 83 (upon admission) to 15 and slowly improved from there.  Told my family to push the 'panic button' if it went below 10 but thank God it didn't.  Realised how fragile life can be.  How a small nyamuk can do such damage to..  Had to scrap some appointments during the week and thanks to those who susah payah pergi cari ketam to buat soup and sorry to those who were not told about it. And thanks for the encouragement and prayers.  Monday 23june2008, went to Klinik Kesihatan Nilai for blood test and the result was positive(ly good count 217) so hopefully no more visits to the hospital (ramai dracula kat hospital Ampang asking for blood tgh2 malam hehehe)

bakawali

Went back to Pengkalan Balak last weekend and we were lucky to watch the blooming of this flower.  It was supposed to bloom only once and will only start late at nite and would be fully bloomed before dawn.  Bunganya emerge from tepi-tepi daun.  Here some pics for your enjoyment.  Btw ada satu on pucuk mangga

culture

These are photos of my old school in Sabah (i DID go to school...)  St. John, Tuaran (1971-1980), and Sabah College (1980-81) before half of us went back to Melaka.  The railroad in front of the school (Sabah College) was used (now not in use lagi kot) by the slowest train in the world(he he) from KK to Kepayan and back.  We used to hop on to the train from our hostel to the school.  I consider myself very lucky for most of my friends, especially in Tuaran, are still around and managed to contact them since last year (2007).
